Validation

It has been hard to stomach the events that have taken place in last few days. Unfortunately, situations as these are not abnormal. In times of tragedy I believe it is important to come together, however, we see that people become more divisive. In addition to the divide it causes, I see so many people telling others that their experience is invalid. I simply cannot understand how one tells another that their experience is a lie. When someone goes on vacation and we ask about their trip we don’t tell them that nothing they are saying is true. If a friend tells us something that happened to them we typically don’t accuse them of lying. There may be exceptions to this but typically we believe them. Which is why I can’t comprehend how so many friends are refusing to validate experiences. They’re real whether you agree with it or not.

Educate.

Show compassion.

Spread love.

PEACE.
